    Wasa Lake Provincial Park
    A large campground and day area with picnic facilities is available at Wasa Lake Provincial Park. There is a boat launch, and widemouth bass angling is available in Wasa Lake. Hiking trails lead to the wildlife viewing stations.

    Jimsmith Lake Provincial Park
    Jimsmith Lake Provincial Park is a popular outdoor recreation spot throughout the year. Visitors can swim, canoe, kayak, fish, toboggan, ice skate, cross-country ski and more. There is a campsite at the park but facilities are basic.

    Moyie Lake Provincial Park
    Fly-casting and trolling for trout is available at Moyie Lake Provincial Park. Boating, windsurfing and swimming are permitted, and an amphitheatre is located in the park. Vehicle and tent camping is offered, and a day use and picnic area is located here.

    Canoeing is available at Norbury Lake Provincial Park, and Norbury and Peckham Lakes have an abundance of rainbow trout. There are many walking trails, good beaches, and over 40 visitor campsites.

    Elizabeth Lake Sanctuary attracts many different species of ducks, song birds and Canada Geese. This area provides a safe place for the birds, as well as animals such as moose, deer, and painted turtles.

    Kootenay Trout Hatchery
    6 million baby trout are produced each year at the Kootenay Trout Hatchery. The Cutthroat, Rainbow, and Brook species of trout are all raised here, and this hatchery is the second largest in British Columbia.
